Vitalik just pulled the rug out from under Ethereum's scaling plans, ditching the whole "rollup-centric" roadmap! Turns out, the promised interop and 'L2s are Ethereum' future were just too darn slow.
The new game plan? Beefing up the main Ethereum chain (L1) directly with some powerful Zero-Knowledge tech, possibly hitting full stride by 2026. L2s aren't totally dead, but they'll need to seriously stand out to stay relevant in this reset, which has, understandably, ruffled a few feathers!
